Call summary
Innovate UK and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, through the industrial energy transformation fund, invite applications for their call for feasibility and engineering studies. This enables organisations to carry out feasibility and engineering studies into energy efficiency and decarbonisation to enable businesses to make investment decisions. The total budget for this strand of the competition is is worth £15 million. Feasibility studies must have total eligible project costs of at least £30,000, while engineering studies must have total eligible project costs of at least £50,000. Funding is worth up to £7m per project for feasibility studies and up to £14m for engineering studies. Funding amounts depend on the type of the organisation.

PI eligibility
Project leads must be a registered business of any size based in England, Wales or Northern Ireland. They may collaborate with other businesses, academic institutions, charities, public sector organisations, research organisations or research and technology organisations based in England, Wales or Northern Ireland and must carry out all project work in these three countries.
