Call summary
The Royal Society, in collaboration with Rolls-Royce, invites applications for its industry fellowships. These enable academic scientists to work on collaborative projects with industry, and for scientists in industry to work on a collaborative project with an academic organisation. The aim is to enhance knowledge transfer in science and technology between those in industry and those in academia in the UK. Fellowships support a period of up to two years full-time and cover fellows’ basic salary during the secondment as well as research expenses of up to £4,000 per year.
Scientific scope
The scheme covers all subjects within Engineering; Biological Sciences; Mathematical Sciences; Physical Sciences
PI eligibility
Applicants must have a PhD or be of equivalent standing in their profession, and hold a permanent post in a university, non-profit research organisation or industry in the UK. They may be of any nationality. Applications involving spin-offs or small companies are encouraged provided they have a well-established research team and facilities.
