Innovate UK, GB: UK-Singapore collaborative research and development

Innovate UK, in partnership with Enterprise Singapore, invites applications for its UK-Singapore collaborative research and development competition. This supports innovative business-led industrial research and development projects involving partners from the UK and Singapore. Projects are expected to result in a new product, industrial process or service, involve a technological risk and have high market potential in the UK and Singapore, with a clear route to market within two to three years of project completion. The total budget is worth up to £3 million. Grants are worth up to £350,000 each for between two and three year.

Projects may be in any area but proposals in the following sectors are particularly encouraged: •advanced manufacturing and materials; •agrifood tech; •mobility and transport; •cybersecurity; •health and life sciences.

Proposals must include at least one partner from the UK and one partner from Singapore, which must be a separate non-linked business. UK project partners must carry out the majority of their project work in the UK and intend to exploit the results from or in the UK. The lead organisation must be a UK-registered business of any size, and either be or involve at least one grant claiming UK registered SME. Projects may involve other UK-registered project partners, including businesses, academic institutions and research and technology organisations.
