Call summary
The Natural Environment Research Council invites applications for its improve environmental science research through new equipment call. This supports the development or enhancement of research equipment with the aim of improving the environmental research landscape. The objective of the call is to provide strategic investment in UK capital infrastructure and deliver a step change in research capability. The total budget is £6.5 million. Project grants are worth between £350,000 and £750,000 each, for a period of up to 20 months.
Scientific scope
Proposals should likely create or offer a novel addition or improvement to an existing capability and must fulfil strategic research needs beyond those aligned to individual research projects.
PI eligibility
Individuals and research organisations may apply. The PI must be resident in the UK and employed by an eligible UK research organisation. Their employment should be at least at lecturer level or equivalent. Research organisations can submit up to two proposals as the lead organisation.
